Colony: B+

This new Netflix post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie runs a tight ship. Things get going immediately with a handful of space colonists landing on Earth hundreds of years after they left it. The first act is pure action: fast, furious, and compelling. The second act transitions into interesting drama as we learn more of the backstory of this future Earth, and then the final act is an excellent blend of action and drama.

At the end of the day the story is fairly straightforward and small in scope, and it isn't especially "sci-fi" despite the futuristic setting. But it's excellently crafted and is worth a watch.
